After a three year media design training at the Bavaria Filmstudios and their one year writers scholarship “Werkstatt Bavaria” Marc started his studies in fictional directing at the University of Television and Film Munich.
His short film satire GUMMIFAUST played on 25 international festivals including L’Étrange Paris, Fantafestival Rome, Interfilm Berlin and won the Contravision Juryprize among 4 others. His short film drama BLAUE STUNDE premiered at the 49th Hofer Filmtage, celebrated its international premiere on TAU, Tel Aviv Student Film Festival and was chosen by AG Kurzfilm for their catalogue in 2016 – representing the 100 best German short films of that year.
Through his training in global education topics and the experience during his NGO work in India, Marc became more and more curious about new forms of storytelling and video creation not limited by the category fiction. In 2017, Tjaša Kosar and him co-created FUCK THE PRIVILEGE OF IGNORANCE, a multimedia platform and production company for their first feature documentary SHOW ME THE PAIN OF THE WORLD, celebrating its World Premiere at the 42nd International Filmfest Munich in the CineRebels Competition. The film is planned to be transformed into an online campaign by 2027.
Since his beginnings Marc was always editing his own work and gained further experiences in this field in almost every format and genre, spanning from fiction, documentary, television reportage, commercials, social media, and NGO projects. He works on DaVinci Resolve, Premiere and is getting advanced on Avid Media Composer these days.
He is currently developing his fiction debut feature together with Tjaša Kosar – a witty satire roadmovie.
